Pharmaceutical company FarÊîS was established in 1996.
FarKoS places priorities on creation of medications on the base of coordination compounds. R&D activities are cross-disciplinary, research are carried on in molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, physiology, pharmacology, pharmaceutical and medical chemistry.

Researches of the company are based on the fundamental researches in the sphere of biology, biochemistry, physiology. The patterns found in the course of the researches are placed in the base of “targets” and possibility to influence them. In the opinion of the researches of FarKoS only the utmost understanding of the essence of the pathological process and ascertainment of patterns in its progression on the biochemical level give a possibility of pharmacological impact on the targets of many diseases and ensure the effectiveness of treating of many diseases.

Cardiovascular diseases
In the therapeutic arsenal of FarKoS there is a range of medications, impacting the functioning of cardiovascular system. Firstly there is ADENOSINE TRIPHOSPHATE-LONG® and RITMOKOR® - the first representative of the class of coordination compounds. Adenosine triphosphate Mg(II) – histidinat, which is a constituent of the medication, is a new substance synthesized to the own technology. The special character of ADENOSINE TRIPHOSPHATE-LONG consists in that fact that it represents a stable molecule ADENOSINE TRIPHOSPHATE, securing it from quick destruction through the ferment systems of the organism and in that way extending the duration of the therapeutic effect. The impact of the medication is brought about through the interaction of the purine receptors of the organism. The medication has antianginal, antiischemic and antiarrhythmic action. Application of the medication is accompanied with higher tolerance to a physical load, which allows broadening the sphere of application of the medication in the sport practice of healthy people as a means to raise physical efficiency.
RITMOKOR® is a complex of 2,3,4,5,6-pentahydroxy hexanedioic acids. This medication has intense metabolic and antiarrhythmic action. The mechanism of action is related to the activation of the ferments of hexose monophosphate way of glucose oxidation, what is accompanied with antiischemic action. The medication offers stimulating effect on the ferments of the antioxidant protection of an organism, protects an organism against damaging effect of oxidative stress.
RITMOKOR® normalizes the functions of myocardium in the case of the ischemic heart disease. Effecting the electrophysiological characteristics of heart cells it contributes to the contraction of QT interval duration, thus reducing the risk of sudden arrhythmic death, especially by persons taking medications capable to prolong the QT interval (amiodaron, etatsizin and others).
The medication is especially advised for persons of senior age group, because it possesses intense gerontoprotective action, it normalizes functions of central nervous system, improves the life quality of patients.
In the experimental conditions was found protective action of RITMOKOR® in case of radiation exposure, which extends the sphere of application of the medication by persons, exposed to radiotherapy of tumors.
ADVOCARD® is a combined medication comprising of patented substance, which is an activator of adenosine triphosphate-sensible potassium channels combined with sidnonimin.
In the course of researches was found that stimulation of adenosine receptors under ischemia conditions results in activation of adenosine triphosphate-sensible potassium channels and leads to the appearing of preconditioning effect and recovery of normal reaction of vessels on the impact of NO – the main molecule of regulation of blood flow in different organs served as a precondition for creating the medication The medication is intended for rapid relief of stenocardia symptoms as well as for their prevention, as the medication is able to improve the function of endothelium and reducing the chances of atherosclerotic vascular damages evolving
RITMODARON® is a combined medication of a new salt of amiodarone – amiodarone pentahydroxicaproas and a complex of 2,3,4,5,6-pentahydroxicaproas acid.
Medication is intended for the therapy of heart rate disorders. In the contrast to the amiodarone hydrochlorid it possesses a wider spectrum of activity and higher bioavalability, which allows applying it in smaller doses and faster achieving therapeutic effect. The medication actually doesn’t influence the duration of QT-interval, is has no side-effects like extracardial effects of amiodarone: it doesn’t produce changes in functioning of lungs, liver and thyroid.
Diseases of nervous systems
MEMBRATON® is a medication of neuroprotective action and intended in the first place for treatment of conditions accompanied with cephaledema – acute disorders of brain circulation, traumatic damages and so forth. The mechanism of action of the medication is related to the normalizing the functioning of gamma-aminobutyric acid receptor complex, limitating excitotoxicity, antioxidative action. The medication is undergoing the process of registration.
Erectile dysfunction
Erectile dysfunction is an utterly important social problem. In the result of scientific research of the company was elaborated a modified substance of sildenafil, which allows improving of its bioavailablity. New sublingual form of ERGOS® allows the patient on his own regulating the speed of effect coming. Patented ñomposition allowed improving of medication bioavailability, what in its turn allows decreasing the therapeutic dose and accordingly the intensity of side effects.
Preventive valeology and sport medicine
The main problem of the mankind is health preservation and keeping life active. Cardiovascular diseases
A range of compounds are undergoing preclinical research on adenosine triphosphate-sensible potassium channels and calcium channels mitochondria FAR-2118 è FAR-3331. According to the results of experimental research medications possess antiischemicand antihypertensive action and have antiaggregant activity, they have a significant advantage on pharmacokinetic profile over existing medications for treating cardiovascular disorders.
Oncology
Company’s professionals turn regard to elaboration of the medications intended for treating of oncological diseases. In the course of research in this field were found certain patterns which allow modifying the growth of tumor cells through its influence on their metabolism, what is a know-how of the company. A number of compounds under research are able to inhibit the growth of tumor, without having a direct cytotoxic action and to produce apoptosis of tumor cells or support their turning into normal cells. The most promising compound under the laboratory name FAR-2105 is able up to 50-90% inhibit the growth of different kinds of tumors (small cell carcinoma of lung, neurinoma;, leukemia tumor), producing their apoptosis. Besides this the compound in question reduces toxicity of traditional antitumor medications without reducing and in some cases making stronger their activity. Especially intense is a protective action of the compound with the use of doxorubicin. We elaborated a pharmaceutical form of this compound. The medication is under preclinical study.
Diseases of musculoskeletal system
The medication with a code FAR-108 is in the phase of preclinical study, it represents the modified molecule of widely spread medication diclofenac.
The modification of the molecule is related in the first place to reducing the risk of gastrological and nephrological complications, which are observed during its application.
